CAST BIOS

Craig Haley - Buddy Holly/Martin

Craig Patrick Haley is thrilled to be back in Edmonton for his fourth time with Jubilations. In previous productions he's had the privilege of playing two of his biggest idols, Paul McCartney and John Lennon. As a piece of rock and roll trivia for you, the first song the two of them recorded together was in fact the same tune Buddy Holly first recorded, "That'll Be The Day". Craig hopes you enjoy the show as much as this cast enjoys performing it. Cheers!

Debbie Plaquin - Ruby

Debbie is very happy to be back at Jubilations in The Last Concert: Buddy Holly & Friends. Having recently wrapped up Tom Jones and the Temple of Doom, she's happy to say she survived all boulder attacks, stair mishaps and booby traps! She's looking forward to "some good old fashioned American fun" with you tonight... especially if you love Polka. She'd like to thank everyone who worked so hard to put The Last Concert together. She also sends out love to her family and friends who, as always, make all good things possible.

Roberto Padua - Richie Valens/Marion

Roberto is very excited to be in his first Jubilations production of The Last Concert: Buddy Holly & Friends. Being an ad cast first opened the door to dinner theatre and now he is on stage! He would like to thank his family for always supporting him. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Cory Hicks - The Big Bopper/DJ Tony Becket/Hank

Cory has haunted the halls of Jubilations Dinner Theatre for almost 10 years now. His resume includes several shows with the company (3 Cheers: Play It Again Sam, CSI: Moosejaw, Ranchers and Rustlers, The Jerry Steinfeld Show, 29, CSI: Calgary, and a short stint in Tom Jones and the Temple of Doom) a year and a half as Stage Manager, and many many years as an additional cast member. None of these things could have been possible without the love and support of family and friends, Randy for consistently hiring him, his best friend Syreeta who is a constant inspiration to him, his amazing roommates for watching his stuff while he's gone, and coffee. Lots of coffee. In his spare time, Cory also runs a photography business on the side, and you can view some of his work at http://www.coryhicksphotography.com. Enjoy your time here at the American Pie, and don't forget to save a slice for the Big Bopper, baaaaaby!!

Julie Seroy - Donna

What's that? A bird... a plane... it's Cookie making her debut! After appearing in the Winnipeg portion of Mama Mio, Julie is thrilled to perform here for you tonight. She would like to thank her parents back home for all those years of running lines, running jokes and never running out of love. Don't be afraid to ask her to dance, as long as it's not polka! Enjoy the show!

David Findlay - Dion/Horace

David is thrilled to be doing his first show at Jubilations. You may have seen David as the Wolf in Alberta Opera's Little Red Riding Hood. Perhaps you spotted him pushing set pieces in Oliver, strutting as Half Naked Horse in the Citadel Theatre's production of Equus or maybe in their production of Oliver. Whatever he's wearing you can bet David will get a few people to watch.
