the Big Boom Theory

Sheldon has been a genius since he was born. He attended college at the age of 11 and has a stunning IQ of 187 (that's good). But unfortunately he's never gotten the proper admiration for his gifts...until now. Sheldon has been nominated for a Canadian International Science Award. Unfortunately Dr. Amy Faye Fowler is nominated for the same award, and only one can take home the prize. Amy may be a woman of science, but she most certainly doesn't play fair. But beware, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. It's an all out battle of the brains, to prove once and for all who is the smartest. As if that weren't enough, Leonard is going to ask Penny to marry him! Plus, there may or may not be an impending nuclear disaster threatening to destroy the world as we know it. All your favorite nerds are here helping Sheldon navigate his way through Canada. With plenty of Bazinga's to go around, this is one Science Award Ceremony you won't want to miss.

Artistic Director's Message

Welcome to the first ever Canadian International Science Awards Ceremonial Dinner. We are so honored to have you all here with us this evening. To have so many amazing minds in one room at one time is simply incredible! This entire audience is filled with geniuses from all over the globe, even our wait staff are PHD`s. We are all gathered to pay tribute to the first recipient of this prestigious award which has been narrowed down to a field of two. The final winner shall be decided upon this evening by having our candidates take part in a quiz. Both, by coincidence are from California, a neurologist- Dr. Amy Faye Fowler and a theoretical physicist Dr. Sheldon Cooper. We are looking forward to an exciting evening for all! We have all had a wonderful time working on this show and I thank Mr. Matt Falk for writing us such a fun spoof of this terrific television show. Chuck Lorre is one of my favorite television writers and it has been great fun sending up characters he created. I hope you all enjoy our take on this much loved sit-com and wish you all a wonderful evening!

As always, if you have any questions or comments about any of our shows please feel free to e-mail me.

Cheers,

Randy Apostle

Writer's Notes

I worked at our sister theatre in Winnipeg, Celebrations Dinner Theater, a few years ago as an Ad-Cast (those wonderful people who serve you food and keep you entertained). Since then I fell in love with what Jubilations does, and getting to write this show is definitely one of my dreams come true. The hardest part about writing this particular script is the shoes that I had to fill. The writers of The Big Bang Theory are so amazing and they’ve developed such fantastic characters. So my main job was to not screw it up. My favorite part would have to be, getting inside Sheldon’s head. That was a blast, but I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. I’d like to thank Randy Apostle for taking a chance on me, the actors for doing such an amazing job bringing my script to life and all the fabulous people behind the scenes, working hard to create that “WOW” atmosphere that got me hooked on dinner theatre all those years ago. Most of all, I’d like to thank my beautiful and supportive wife Sabrina, without whom I could have never had the confidence and the courage to follow my dreams. So now, sit back, relax, eat some complimentary buns and enjoy the show!
