Luck Be A Lady

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to be front and centre when the infamous Rat Pack performed at the Sands Hotel in Vegas during the late '50's and early '60 here's your chance. Frankie and Dino are the best of friends and two of the hottest acts in Vegas. They are also two of the worst poker players in town and find themselves loaded with gambling debts to their casino boss and suspected mobster, Hombly Hills Malone. To top that off, Frankie falls in love with the mobster's wife. Now they have only 24 hours to get the girl, win back the money, pay off their debts and do the 6 shows a night they are contracted to perform. It's either that or rob the casino, fake their own death, become showgirls or perhaps all three.

In tradition of the Sinatra Rat Pack movies and the original Ocean's 11, Luck Be A Lady takes you back to the glorious, ring-a-ding-ding, days of Vegas in the 50's and 60's with the timeless music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and many other Vegas standards. It was a time of showgirls, late nights, single malt scotch, good friends and laughter!

DIRECTOR'S NOTES

Welcome to the beautiful Sand Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas Nevada... the year is nineteen sixty "something." Every night is hopping when Frank and Dino take to the Copacabana Stage and entertain the high rollers with their voices, their wit and their over the top stage personas. Their love of life and show business is matched only by their love of gambling. And tonight, Frank needs to win big. Frank is in debt to his boss for a sizable amount of money from a series of bad poker games. His boss, Mr. Cory Leone needs it back because he has money worries of his own. Mr. Leone has given Frank one night to come up with the cash he is owed. Dino and Frank have various scams planned in order to raise the dough. Will any of them work or will Frank really have to disappear? In tradition of Robin and the 7 Hoods and the original Ocean's 11, Jubilations is proud to present to you Mr. Joseph Davies' new play - "Luck Be a Lady" with the timeless music of Frank, Dean and many other Vegas standards of the 50's and 60's, this show is a fun filled romp and our tribute to the rat pack movies of yesterday!

Many thanks to a great cast and creative team that make my job a true pleasure! I hope you all enjoy your little trip to the back to the Copacabana showroom... the '60's in Vegas. I invite you all to please join us for our next show too where we take to the beach with "Good Vibrations: Summer of '68!" Featuring music of the timeless Beach Boys!
